Peer Mentor, National Honor Society (May 2021 – May 2023)

For two years, I dedicated myself to mentoring high school underclassmen, focusing on demystifying challenging STEM subjects like calculus, physics, and computer science. My goal was not just to help students improve their grades, but to build their confidence and foster a genuine interest in technology and science. I developed tailored tutoring plans and worked with each student to overcome their specific obstacles, creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

• Successfully mentored and tutored over 20 students throughout my tenure.
• Contributed to an average grade improvement of a full letter grade among the students I worked with.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Texas A&M Chapter

As a member of NSBE, I am part of a community dedicated to increasing the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically and make a positive impact. I actively participate in networking events with industry professionals and support our chapter's community outreach initiatives, which focus on promoting STEM education to local youth.

Aggie Coding Club & Aggie Data Science Club

Beyond formal projects, I contribute to the vibrant tech community at Texas A&M. Through these clubs, I engage in peer-to-peer coding sessions, participate in hackathons that often tackle social or community challenges, and share knowledge in workshops. This involvement helps create a collaborative ecosystem where students can learn from each other and grow their skills together.
